Auschwitz-Birkenau – Memorial and Museum
Auschwitz-Birkenau was a German Nazi concentration and extermination camp, today functioning as the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum and one of the most important memorial sites in the world.
The complex includes the Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II–Birkenau areas and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The visit to the museum is educational and reflective in nature. Tours can be done individually or with a guide, according to the rules in force at the Memorial Site. Advance reservation of entry is recommended.
